Here is the status of those 4 things that were bugging me:

1.  A claim has been made and a new phone should arrive within a week or so. (this time a signature is required).  This is done free of charge.

2.   Using the poison ivy cream cleared it up and I’m all better

4.  Still haven’t been paid, but I am moving out in only 11 days

I am incredibly frustrated right now!!!

Poker is going fine, but it is the following things that are bugging me:

1) I have been trying to get a new cell phone for 2 weeks now.  I was using prepaid minutes, but that started costing me over $50 a month, so I decided to switch over to a plan with Tmobile.  I used letstalk.com and picked out a nice phone and a plan that would cost less than $45.00 per month.  The phone was shipped by Fed Ex and was said to have been placed on my doorstep as of Tuesday at 2:33pm, yet it is not there.  I am currently trying to sort out this mess.

2) I think I have poison ivy.  I was biking through some trails near Gun Lake the other day and must have picked it up there.  I thought I took a good enough shower, but reading up on poison ivy, I found out it can start within 10 minutes of exposure.  Putting on some Hydrocortisone 1% should help me, I hope.

3)  PA Hud is not working for me, so poker playing is being pretty much halted.  I was running very nicely this month even after not being able to play the first 7 days, and taking off a few days to go to Holland.  Without the stats I feel like I do not play my best, especially when I play 6-8 tables at a time.

4) Housemates.  I have some of the worst housemates EVER!!!  One is cool, one is never there, but is also cool (they are brothers), but the other two are just plain retarted.  Both of them owe me money and are just terrible in dealing with things (trash, dishes, cleaning, paying utilites, etc).  In fact, one of my housemates owes me $632.20, which has been growing since January of 2008.  I would kick him out, but the lease is down at the end of July, so hopefully I get paid.  I do have the number of his trust agent, so I will most likely get a check sent to me from that.

uggg…maybe I’ll just wake up tomorrow and everything will be fixed.

GSOP 08

The Grand Rapids Series of Poker (GSOP), done through GRAMPA, is one of the best local tournaments around.  I have gone to quite a few events over the past three years, but it looks like this year I will not be able to play in any of them.  I really wanted to play in the Main Event and the Heads Up event, but I will be busy during both events with other plans.  The HU event is actually today, but I need to go to Holland soon to see some relatives.  oh well.

I only got to play online for about 1/2 hour today, but I made a cool $1.4k.  The cottage I’m going to in Holland does not have internet and I don’t even own a laptop anyway, so I guess that means a few days off from poker again.  This break better not be longer than the last one

Comcast is killing me

So I was unable to play poker for a full week due to my computer crashing.  Then as soon as I get my computer back and my PAHud and Pokertrakcer programs reinstalled, Comcast goes out and has been out since.  It has been over 2 weeks since I have been able to play online poker.   Calling Comcast just brings me to a recording that the internet is not functioning properly due to the recent storms and flooding that have occurred in the area.

I guess this means an unplanned extension to my vacation.  oh well.
